Vintage Buttons, Burlap, and Chalk Paint Oh My.......

Hey everyone! It's Kimberly from Prairie Sisters, thought I'd share with all of you a little craft project I did with some vintage buttons, burlap, chalkboard paint, and lots of hot glue. LOL. It was a messy project and my craft room now needs some major cleaning. I don't know what happened but it's a disaster and there are shreds of burlap..........EVERYWHERE! Anyway besides being messy it was an easy project. Check it out...............

Sneak Peak...

We had recently gone to an antique auction and picked up these vintage buttons. Which are great for an assortment of crafty projects and even jewelry. I decided to make a few burlap flowers with this project and they came out so adorable. I think I could burlap and chalkboard paint my entire house and I'd love it. LOL.

Basket of vintage buttons...

Burlap, shabby chic flower....

A glass jar I had laying around. I just sprayed it with chalkboard paint along with a Kerr jar for the smaller one.

Here's how they turned out...So cute. I think they could be used as decorative or even storing cookies or small flowers from one's garden. As I always say with most projects the possibilities are endless. I also had a frame laying around that I scuffed up and glued the remaining flowers on, covered the inside with burlap and then cut out LOVE for an accent. You could just take that out if you didn't like it and use it as a picture frame but I had no pictures that large so I improvised.

Well I hope you all enjoyed that little craft project with my two favorite materials right now.....Burlap and Chalk paint and that it inspires you to make something beautiful out of such simple materials and items as these. Until next time............

Never look over the ugly, the old, or the used...If given a chance and a little TLC they can be works of art.
